Investigations

Further tests may be necessary.

Blood tests are usually performed within The London Clinic Outpatient facility.

Microbiological tests are taken by Mr Wareing and are analysed at The London Clinic.

Ultrasound, CT and MRI scans are usually performed at The London Clinic. Patients suffering with claustrophobia are catered for, with options including an Open MRI scanner or an Upright MRI scanner.

Complex Audiology Investigations which may take up to 3 hours to complete are usually performed at Capital Audiology, 22 Harley Street, London, W1G 9PL. Mr Wareing will discuss the rationale for the tests and the outcome with his colleagues at Capital Audiology.

We recommend that young children’s hearing tests (4 years and below) are performed by a specialist Paediatric Audiologist. This ensures the most accurate assessment of a young child’s hearing, often through the use of specialist play equipment. Sometimes this can be performed prior to seeing Mr Wareing and can be arranged by Mr Wareing’s secretary.

Mr Wareing has a close working relationship with all departments at The London Clinic and with the external agencies that he uses. He regularly discusses the results of investigations with these departments, to ensure that information is as accurate and relevant as possible and tailored to the individual’s condition.
